The Safeguard Platform (SAP) requires the organisation to register, enrol all its staff and/or members to the platform first.  Once done open the mobile app and log in to start using the tools.  Gatekeeping, shift control, harvest control with field inspection and guard touring ensure your business can measure and manage the performance of critical labour-intensive operations – except now entering the data digitally instead of on paper.

The digital processes are operated on the same basis as the manual processes i.e. the paper processes that they are familiar with.

Who can use Safeguard?

As labour becomes more expensive or as security concerns become more central to how you run your organisation the need to collect your data in an authenticated, consistent and concise manor is becoming more relevant to managing organisations effectively.   Governments are focusing more and more on the use of digital tools to track and assess the collections of taxes, and this drives a strong need within organisations to have clearer more robust processes to manage the workforce in a way that ensures compliance and encourages cost savings.

Once the data has been collected from the workflow apps, a report summarizing all the entered data is automatically generated and sent as an attachment to the relevant heads of departments and managers by email. The managers can then review and submit the report by email to their designated authority.  This digital way of reporting has multiple benefits. The manager does not need to return to their office to complete a report for submission – a simple forwarding email will do. The report can also be programmed to be sent to other key decision makers, allowing them to take timely decisions and actions and avoid otherwise costly mistakes that could impact the performance of the operation or increased the cost of the same.

Further, the digital records are authenticated, geo-referenced and time stamped making it easy for the business and its workforce to trust the data and know its source.   Its often the case the people do not sufficiently trust the source of the data such that it requires the business to dis-invest and return to older more analogue systems.
